Permissions Guide

Complete documentation for TPX's advanced permission system, allowing server owners to customize homes, warps, cooldowns, warmups, XP costs, sounds, particles, and more.

How TPX Permissions Work

TPX uses permission nodes to let server owners customize teleport behavior. Permissions can be assigned to groups, ranks, individual players, or any other system supported by your server. This allows homes, cooldowns, warmups, XP costs, warp access, sounds, and particle effects to be customized on a per-player basis.

Most TPX permission nodes follow this pattern:

tpx.<system>.<type>.<value>
Supported teleport types: tpa, home, spawn, back, rtp, deathpoint, warp

Home Permission Nodes

Home permissions control how many homes a player can create. If multiple home limit permissions are assigned, TPX uses the largest home limit available while never going below the default value configured by the server owner.

Format tpx.homes.<amount>

Examples

tpx.homes.3
tpx.homes.10
tpx.homes.25
tpx.homes.100
TPX registers home limit permissions from tpx.homes.1 through tpx.homes.1000.

Permission Priority

Player Has Result
tpx.homes.5 5 homes
tpx.homes.5 + tpx.homes.10 10 homes
tpx.homes.25 + default config is 3 25 homes

Warp Permission Nodes

Warps can be public, OP-only, or locked behind a numeric permission ID. A warp with permission ID 5 requires the node tpx.warp.5.

Format tpx.warp.<id>

Examples

tpx.warp.1
tpx.warp.2
tpx.warp.10
tpx.warp.100

Example Setup

Warp Permission ID Permission Node
market none none
resourceworld 2 tpx.warp.2
eventhub 10 tpx.warp.10
OP-only warps use the configured OP warp permission level instead of a custom warp node.

Cooldown Permission Nodes

Cooldown permissions allow teleport cooldowns to be customized for different players, groups, or permission assignments. When multiple cooldown permissions are assigned, TPX applies the shortest available cooldown value. This allows higher ranks to receive faster teleport access without affecting lower ranks.

Format tpx.cooldown.<type>.<seconds>

Examples

tpx.cooldown.home.30
tpx.cooldown.home.15
tpx.cooldown.home.5
tpx.cooldown.home.0

Example Configurations

Example Permission Result
Member none Uses config cooldown
Group A tpx.cooldown.home.15 15 second /home cooldown
Group B tpx.cooldown.home.5 5 second /home cooldown
Group C tpx.cooldown.home.0 No /home cooldown
Registered cooldown permissions support values from 0 through 3600 seconds.

Warmup Permission Nodes

Warmup permissions reduce the delay before a teleport begins. When multiple warmup permissions are assigned, TPX uses the shortest available warmup value. A value of 0 provides instant teleportation.

Format tpx.warmup.<type>.<seconds>

Examples

tpx.warmup.home.5
tpx.warmup.home.2
tpx.warmup.home.1
tpx.warmup.home.0
Registered warmup permissions support values from 0 through 300 seconds.

XP Cost Permission Nodes

XP cost permissions control how much experience is required to use a teleport command. When multiple XP cost permissions are assigned, TPX uses the lowest available cost. A value of 0 removes the XP requirement entirely.

Format tpx.xpcost.<type>.<amount>

Examples

tpx.xpcost.home.25
tpx.xpcost.home.10
tpx.xpcost.home.5
tpx.xpcost.home.0
TPX compares costs as total XP points, not just visual Minecraft levels.

Sound Permission Nodes

Sound permissions allow different players, groups, or permission assignments to use different configured sound slots for teleport actions.

Format tpx.sound.<type>.<id>

Examples

tpx.sound.home.1
tpx.sound.home.2
tpx.sound.spawn.10
tpx.sound.warp.25

Sound Types Covered

tpa home spawn back rtp deathpoint warp
The ID points to a sound slot in the TPX sounds config. If a slot is disabled or invalid, TPX falls back to the built-in default sound.

Particle Permission Nodes

Particle permissions allow different players, groups, or permission assignments to use different configured particle slots for teleport actions.

Format tpx.particle.<type>.<id>

Examples

tpx.particle.home.1
tpx.particle.home.2
tpx.particle.spawn.10
tpx.particle.warp.25

Particle Types Covered

tpa home spawn back rtp deathpoint warp
The ID points to a particle slot in the TPX particles config. If a slot is disabled or invalid, TPX falls back to the built-in default effect.

Example Configurations

The examples below demonstrate a few common ways TPX permissions can be used. Permissions can be assigned to groups, ranks, individual players, events, staff teams, donors, or any other permission structure supported by your server.

Default Survival Players

tpx.homes.3

A simple setup that gives all players access to three homes while using the server's default cooldowns, warmups, XP costs, sounds, and particle effects.

Supporter Perks

tpx.homes.10
tpx.cooldown.home.15
tpx.cooldown.tpa.5
tpx.warmup.home.2
tpx.warmup.spawn.0
tpx.sound.home.1
tpx.particle.home.1
tpx.warp.2

Provides additional homes, reduced cooldowns, faster teleports, custom effects, and access to supporter-only warps.

Staff Team

tpx.homes.25
tpx.cooldown.home.0
tpx.cooldown.spawn.0
tpx.warmup.home.0
tpx.warmup.spawn.0
tpx.xpcost.home.0
tpx.xpcost.spawn.0

Allows moderators and administrators to move around the server quickly without delays or XP requirements.

Special Event Reward

tpx.homes.50
tpx.cooldown.home.0
tpx.cooldown.rtp.0
tpx.warmup.home.0
tpx.xpcost.home.0
tpx.sound.home.5
tpx.particle.home.5
tpx.sound.warp.5
tpx.particle.warp.5

A temporary reward that can be granted to tournament winners, seasonal champions, or event participants.

Individual Player Customization

tpx.homes.100
tpx.sound.home.10
tpx.particle.home.10
tpx.sound.spawn.10
tpx.particle.spawn.10

Demonstrates how TPX permissions can be used to create completely custom experiences for specific players without affecting anyone else on the server.

TPX does not require any specific permission management mod. Permission nodes can be assigned using whatever permission system your server platform supports.
